Cheechoo looking more like the trade

San Jose has just recalled forwards Brad Staubitz and Lukas Kaspar up from Worcester up from their AHL affiliate + signed another forward to an entry level contract.? This gives San Jose more forwards on their main roster than they would actually need.? Jonathan Cheechoo has been mentioned many times and is a player that not only fits the sniper?role that the Penguins are looking for, he also fits into our salary cap room.?The 28 year old winger?is having a very poor season with 9 goals and 21 points in 49 games.

From what it looks like, with?the Sharks?pulling up offense,? we will be trading away defense.? It is all just a guessing game right now whether he is coming to the Penguins or not.? It probably won’t take much to get him I think they are trying to dump his salary like we did Satan’s.? Nik Antropov is probably a safer bet, but would cost us more.
