With Brooks Orpik ready to return to the Penguin lineup any day now, the Penguins will have 8 defencemen ready to play.? Throw in the fact that Therrien has played Goligoski only 5 games this month, and you have a recipe for ruining one of what many NHL Columnists have considered one of five front runners for winning the Calder Cup.??
This is?the guy who as a rookie set the record last year?for points scored in the AHL playoffs by a defenceman.?? This is the guy who as a rookie lead the Baby Penguins in scoring in the playoffs, not just?defense.? This is the guy who leads the Penguins defense in scoring right now even though he only played 5 games this month.? He is also second in plus/minus.? With Letang’s new found confidence, Goligoski can at least get playing time in the AHL.? I’m still hoping for a Whitney trade, it was fun watching him tumble while the Rangers scored yesterday and continue his worst plus/minus on the team other than Talbot.
