Agreed. Guerin was that at one time and we will find out if he can actually keep up with Crosby. I think he’ll do fine and after looking at all the things that went down Guerin looks pretty good especially for the price. He’s our stimulous package! Hopefully it gets better results than Nancy Pelosi’s, eh.
FTR, I voted none of the above.
Classic! Billy Guerin got 0 picks. Ah well! I hope everyone was wrong!
The only legitimate top line forward on your list is Gaborik. He now has to qualify for the “injury prone” tag. He will cost to much in a trade and want to much in Salary.
Guerin and Kovalev in their prime would have been nice. Now they are to old and will cost to much in trade and salary.
You need to find a young (19-23) winger with a little track history, enormous potential, a ton of speed and quick hands. Players like Kris Versteeg, Fabian Brunnstrom, Loui Erikson and Bobby Ryan. Remember that we are not looking for a player that can play on the number one line but one that can play with maybe the best player on the planet
Why would anyone want Colby Armstrong as Crosby’s wing – has he learned something over the past year?
