To trade or not to trade? that is the question.
Ray Shero says, ?This year is important, everybody needs to know that. So, with anything in terms of improving the team up until the trade deadline, I?m willing to do that.?
Shero talks THE CORE – – Crosby, Malkin, Staal, Fleury, Whitney, and Orpik.? However, he also never ruled out trading a CORE member to solidify the team this season.
If the Salary Cap falls (as rumored)? next season Shero will be forced to move a CORE player.
Ryan Whitney has become the whipping boy by fans, media and the rumor mongers and for that reason alone it?s likely his trade value has decreased.
I think the only real UNTOUCHABLES are Crosby, Malkin and Fleury. I also have thinking if the management group thinks the Salary cap is indeed dropping we might be in for a bit of a surprise sooner than later.
It should be an interesting next 12 days.
