The Pens have won their last four Game 4’s with two coming on home ice and two on the road.
The Senators are making a couple of line up changes tonight. It looks like former San Jose Shark and more recently former Binghamton Senator Jonathan Cheechoo will return to the Senators’ line up as will former Penguin defenseman Shean Donovan.
Crosby now has 20 points in 12 career playoff games Vs. Ottawa.
The Pens have called up defenseman Deryk Engelland from Wilkes-Barre.
Should be a beautiful night to watch the game on the Jumbro Tron outside of Mellon Arena tonight. I wonder if they took this tradition into account when constructing the Consol Energy Center. Will there be a place to do this over there, or will they just continue to set it up in front of the Igloo as long as it is standing?
Anybody else notice the improved play of Max Talbot now that the playoffs have started? I’m thinking the rest he got while missing all of those games at the end of the season are really paying off now.
It’s going to be tough for Fedotenko to have another stellar playoff run if he can’t get himself back into the line up, and with the way Rupp has played the last two games, I don’t see that happening.
Who was wearing #7 for the Pens in Game 3? I saw him actualy hit a few people so I knew it couldn’t have been Eaton, could it?
I’m really starting to believe that teams do need some sort of hatred of their opponents in the playoffs. It’s one thing when you’re playing Philly, New York, or New Jersey who you play six times a year, or the Red Wings, but after not making the playoffs last year, Ottawa had really fallen off of Pittsburgh’s radar. Thanks again to Andy Sutton for giving the Pens a little of that hatred to get them fired up again.
Cheechoo not great stats since being sent down: 8 goals 14 total points in 25 games in the AHL & his plus minus was minus7
