Montreal vs Philadelphia – Who does the NHL want to win this the least?

Two of the NHL’s biggest “Us Against the World” teams will be going head to head and the media factions of both teams are primed and ready to kick it into full throttle the second one of the teams gets down a goal. The only thing that both cities know for sure is that the NHL wants both of these teams to lose this series and will do anything at all costs to make sure it happens.

Possibly the ring leaders of the NHL's referee mafia?

Nobody really knows the who’s, how’s or why’s, but the NHL and it’s evil dictator Gary Bettman or maybe his co conspirator Colin Campbell have somehow gotten word down to the referees that in no way should the Montreal Canadiens or Philadelphia Flyers win a game in this series. After all everybody knows that it would be better for the NHL if neither team were in the finals.

The sad part is all of the fans, media and players in these cities know that this is true yet don’t have a clue how to stop it. Simon Gagne of the Philadelphia Flyers has always known it “I’ve always felt that we need to beat the other team, and we need to beat pretty much everything. We’re not going to get any calls from anybody.”   Oh my! Somehow the NHL has managed to shut off the Flyers phone service also?  This is way way deeper than anyone possibly imagined!

Mike Boone of the Gazette up in Montreal wrote a few days ago that “In essence, the theorists believe the NHL wanted a dream Eastern Conference final matching Alexander Ovechkin against Sidney Crosby. So referees jobbed the Canadiens, to no avail, in the Washington series. And now they’re helping Crosby,”  Luckily for the fans in Pittsburgh and Washington the NHL is aware that there is no way Ovechkin or Crosby and their respective teams could beat the Canadiens or the Flyers let alone any other team without the referees winning the game for them.

What if neither Bettman or Campbell are behind this? What if it was all of the referees in the NHL?  What if they held a meeting and decided it was best if both the Habs and Flyers lost this series?  What if there is a referee mafia? Seriously these are professional NHL referees, there is absolutely no way they could have missed a call unless it was on purpose.

If both teams lose this series I will be the first to consider jumping on the conspiracy theory bandwagon and if both lose then I’ll admit that  MAYBE it was possible that the NHL was out to get them.  Ah, who am I kidding, I’m so sure of that the NHL has it in for these two teams after injesting all of their hype that I started a new website www.conspiracytheoryguys.com just so I can talk about it.  When is the last time the Eastern Conference didn’t have a team make it to the Stanley Cup finals?

The tough part for both teams is that the NHL always gets it’s mark. The team that loses is the team the NHL was against all along.
