Pittsburgh Penguins Marc-André Fleury, best goaltender left in playoffs

I figured now is just as good of a time as any to break down the remaining eight goaltenders and to make it clear as day to all of the Marc-André Fleury haters why you know nothing about hockey:

1.       Jimmy Howard: Rookie, need I say more? Okay, I will say more. He is making the San Jose Sharks look a lot better than they really are. Jimmy’s goals against average are 2.99. Sorry Jimmy that is not going to cut it. I got an idea for one of those NHL playoff commercials, “What if the Redwings started Chris Osgood?”

2.    Evgeni Nabokov: Since 2007 Evgeni has a record of 15-13. I am very surprised that the San Jose Sharks are still playing in May. I believe that Evgeni cannot win the big one, especially when the big game counts. Just ask team Russia this year in the Olympics or ask all of the Sharks fans as well.

3.   Antti Niemi: So far so good. His stats are 5-3 and goals against are an average of 2.60 with a couple of shutouts. Knock on him because he is unproven and Marian Hossa plays for the Blackhawks. If there is one thing I remember from high school history class, “History repeats itself”

4.  Roberto Luongo: Great season stats.  He is unproven in the big game. If it was not for Sidney Crosby in overtime in the Olympics, he probably would have been deported.

5.  Brian Boucher: Has been.  Hey Philadelphia Flyer’s fans, my calendar says 2010 not 2005.

6.    Tuukka Rask: Toronto Maple leafs reject. He doesn’t know how to win. He is kind of like a certain current Pittsburgh Penguin.

7.  Jaroslav Halak: There is no future in Montreal for him. The fans will not take to him because he is not French Canadian. Does anyone know what time it is in Montreal?

8.   Marc-André Fleury: He has taken his team back to back to the Stanley Cup finals.  He has won two game 7’s on the road last year (Washington, Redwings), Stanley Cup winner, and Olympic gold medal winner.

History Will Be Made – Marc-André Fleury
