First, let me say that I did not watch tonight’s game. I was busy playing some hockey of my own. I gotta tell you that, if I must miss a Penguins game, it might as well be against the boring-ass Devils.
We have had discussions on this site regarding which opposing team that, we as fans, hate the most. Just about everyone mentioned the Flyers, the Capitals or the Red Wings for obvious reasons. I am on the way home from my game tonight and I start to think to myself that maybe I hate the Devils most of all.
At least when we play the Flyers, Wings or Caps, I look forward to watching the games. When the Pens play these teams there is a heighten desire to watch and root for the Penguins. As fans, I think, we get more “pumped” to watch these games. With New Jersey, it is the opposite. I, for one, dread these games. To make matters worse, we can’t beat the M*** F%%%%%. You know the game is going to be slow and boring given their defensive system. To make matters worse, if the Pens let them get up by a goal or two, they take the trapping system to new heights of mind-numbingly, unwatchable hockey. In their defense, it is effective for them. I just don’t like watching it. Maybe Devils fans do.
Here is looking forward to matching up with with the Devils again in five days.
GOOD article.
Help to me.
When a team beats you every game it becomes a challenge. A challenge than the Pens haven’t handled. Boring? Maybe not so much for a NJ Devil fan.
