Ray Shero: “We’ll see what the [hours until the deadline] brings. Right now, I’m not close  to anything, as a number of teams aren’t, it seems to be. If not, you can’t  manufacture stuff.”  Read more: http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/12058/1212881-61-2.stm#ixzz1nb6JMED0

Todays Penguins Trade Rumors

Josh Yohe – Tweet –  Some David Jones to Penguins talk is popping up in Denver. Not sure how legit it is. Looking into it.

Rob Rossi – Trib – Tweet –  Heard yesterday from some #pens sources that Tyler Kennedy injury took a playable card off table

Here are the 3 guys that have been listed in trade rumors around the league that brain trust at PenguinPoop would be most interested in seeing in a Pittsburgh Penguins jersey:

Paul Gaustad center from the Buffalo Sabres would be the ideal third line center for the Penguins that would allow Jordan Staal to move up into a winger position on Sidney Crosby’s line.  Great faceoff guy and penalty killer.

Nikolai Kulemin 25 year old winger from Toronto.  Grew up and played with Evgeni Malkin.  Can play left or right wing.  Scored 30 goals last year, though is struggling with only 6 goals this year.

David Jones 27 year old winger from Colorado. 6ft 2in tall 210pd gritty winger who had 27 goals last year.  His goal production is down this year and he’s been made expendable by Colorado’s acquisition of Downie  from Tampa Bay.
