A lot of players show improvement when they come to the Pens–like Jokinen and Kunitz and Dupuis.

You make a really good point … one I hadn’t considered. You’re absolutely right … a lot of players do seem to play really well when they come to the Pens. You mentioned Pascal Dupuis, Chris Kunitz, and Jussi Jokinen—each an excellent example.
We could add Craig Adams, James Neal and Matt Niskanen to your list, along with former Pens like Matt Cooke and Mike Rupp, who had their best seasons in the ‘Burgh.
Maybe the fact that we have a core of elite players helps guys play better. Then, too, Dan Bylsma and his staff deserve some credit for getting the most out of players.
