Ex-Penguins Update: January 27, 2019

Here’s a peek at how former Penguins are faring around the league at the All-Star break.

The Blues’ David Perron leads the way in goals (17), assists (18) and points (35). Kasperi Kapanen of Toronto is a close second with 15 goals and 30 points. With six goals and nine points in his past seven games, red-hot Nick Bonino (Nashville) has moved into third place. He has 14 goals and 27 points.

With 16 points each, Oskar Sundqvist (St. Louis) and Daniel Sprong (Anaheim) are also moving up the scoring ladder. Greg McKegg has three goals and six points in 11 games for the Hurricanes.

Jake Muzzin of the Kings paces the expatriate defensemen with 21 points, two points ahead of Washington’s Matt Niskanen. Niskanen tops the ex-Pens blueliners with seven goals.

Bonino has the best plus/minus (plus-24) followed by Ron Hainsey of Toronto at plus-23.

Marc-Andre Fleury (Vegas) leads the ex-Pens goalies in several categories, including wins (27), shutouts (6) and goals against average (2.49). Thomas Greiss of the Islanders has the best save percentage (.920).
