The Penguins have sent 14 players to their minor-league training camp in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, including eight forwards, five defensemen and a goalie.
The forwards are Raivis Ansons, Jack Beck, Atley Calvert (pictured), Mathieu De St. Phalle, Sam Houde, Gabe Klassen, Bennett MacArthur and Logan Pietila.
The defensemen…Isaac Belliveau, Scooter Brickey, Justin Lee, Mats Lindgren and Philip Waugh. Luke Richardson is the goalie.
Beck, Calvert, Klassen and Lindgren are rookies with no pro experience. Brickey, De St. Phalle, Pietila and Waugh have had brief pro cameos.
In addition, today was the first day players could be placed on waivers. None of our veterans hit the waiver wire (yet).
Fifty-two players remain in camp.
