Penguins Bulletin: Hållander Out Day-to-Day

The hits just keep comin.’ The Penguins announced that rookie forward Filip Hållander will be out day-to-day with a lower-body injury. They’ve recalled hulking minor-league vet Joona Koppanen as a replacement.

I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t rather have seen us recall Tristan Broz or Sam Poulin, both off to good starts with the Baby Pens, instead of Koppanen, who in my opinion is JAG (just another guy), albeit a super-sized one (6’5” 210). But I get it (I think). The brass wants to cause as little disruption as possible for the Baby Pens, particularly for our budding prospects and what appears to be a short-term recall.
