Unfortunately, this is one of those days when work duties will preclude my blogging. But I wanted to put up a quick ‘n’ dirty post of the Penguins’ moves thus far today.
Rebuffed in his efforts to land big fish Jason Robertson, Pens POHO/GM Kyle Dubas pivoted and acquired his 24-year-old kid brother, Nick Robertson, from Toronto for a fourth-round pick.
Not a bad exchange for a high-motor, if undersized forward who scored 16 goals for the Leafs last season.
Dubas also signed hulking 34-year-old right-shot defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk, late of the Capitals, as a free agent.
More to come later.

Hey all,
For now, I'll keep up with our moves in the comments section.
The Pens have signed 26-year-old left-side defenseman Declan Carlile, who played for Tampa Bay this season. He profiles a lot like former Pen Parker Wotherspoon and Ryan Shea--a guy who spent most of his career toiling in the minors before finally catching on with the Bolts.
He's 6'3" 190 and will stick his nose in and fight if the situation calls for it. Just not very well. However, he doesn't pick his spots. Took on (and lost to) Josh Anderson, Garnet Hathaway and Jonah Gadjovich, toughies all, last season.
