I have heard that Shero has told the players no trades will be forthcoming. He prefers to weather the storm with the roster he has. If this is true, I believe this is a huge injustice to the fans, the Pens and particularly Crosby. The window of opportunity to be blessed with such an amazing talent as Crosby is limited. To get a winger who can play at a level near to Crosby’s, in my humble opinion, is a must. Certainly, someone would have to be sacrificed, but Crosby’s talent cannot be realized with wingers such as (no disrespect to these guys, but) Dupuis, Kennedy or Cooke. Malkin and Sykora have proven to be a potent combination, now Sid needs his match. Imagine how much more effective 66 would have been if his top winger at the time was not Warren Young.
