Gameday Poop: Penguins vs Capitals – Steroids Steroids Steroids

The Washington Capitals are under investigation once again for being involved with steroids. US Marshals were at the Washington Capitals training facility investigating.  Dr. Doug Nagel who may or may not be the Capitals chiropractor was arrested yesterday.  The Capitals are saying “(Dr. Doug Nagel) is not affiliated with the Washington Capitals and is not the team chiropractor, as he has stated, Dr. Nagel’s office, however, has seen some of our players for standard, routine chiropractic services.”

The sign on Dr. Doug Nagel’s door that says he’s the Capitals team chiropractor and his website that has mysteriously removed the part were it said “team chiropractor for the Washington Capitals” a week or so ago along with the many websites like this one “CHHC Sports Medicine, Dr. Nagel” that they haven’t deleted yet that still says “Dr. Nagel is the team chiropractor for the Washington Capitals” right dead smack in the middle, tend to disagree with that statement.

Though I must say I don’t really know what happened but my guess is that the Capitals broke affiliation with him so that they could make that statement.  They did state that some of their players do use Dr. Nagel’s facility. Throw that in with the fact the the US marshals were at the Washington Capitals practice facility as part of the investigation and a lot of suspicion creeps up into my mind, it’s almost like the Capitals aren’t mentioning everything in their press releases.

I did do a little research into steroids and found out the symptoms: Users may exhibit uncontrolled aggression and violent behavior called “roid rage,” in addition to severe mood swings, manic episodes, and depression. Moreover, users may suffer paranoid jealousy, extreme irritability, delusions, and impaired judgment from feelings of invincibility.

I’m really looking forward to tonight’s game between Crosby and Ovechkin.

On a completely separate subject that has absolutely 100% nothing to do with the steroids above. Ovechkin has seen his share of trouble since he shook hands with Crosby after Crosby ousted him from the Olympic Medal rounds. He has twice been video taped aggressively smashing peoples cameras for which he was sincere and apologized afterwards and he got suspended 2 games for violently drilling a Chicago defenseman’s head into the boards during a game for which he was very remorseful afterwards.  Sometime’s I just think Ovechkin needs to use better judgement.

Malkin will most likely be sitting this one out tonight with his bruised foot.

Gametime is 7pm and can be seen in high definition at the Verizon Center or on FSN Pittsburgh.
