A heaping helping of good news as we anxiously await official word of any trade deadline deals involving our Penguins. Sidney Crosby participated in today’s practice wearing a regular jersey. Which would indicate our captain may be making his return to the ice sooner than later.
Glorious news, indeed!
I was hoping against hope Sid might prove to be a quick healer. Especially after ESPN panned to a shot of him walking with no trace of a limp through the owner’s box during last night’s telecast.
The news couldn’t come at a better time, especially with the team on a two-game losing jag and fellow Two-Headed Monster Evgeni Malkin likely facing a suspension in the wake of his wicked (if duly provoked) slash on Sabres captain Rasmus Dahlin.
Perhaps a lengthy one.
